No. Twin-wall flue systems let us install in homes without a chimney — typically running up the outside of the property or through the roof. It costs a bit more than a standard liner install, but it's possible in the vast majority of homes.
Most jobs take 1–2 days, depending on complexity. We’ll confirm timelines after your free survey.
Our installer will visit your home, assess the space, talk through any preferences, and provide a no-obligation fixed quote.
Usually yes. A 5kW stove heating your main living space typically cuts central heating use by 25-40%. Wood at roughly 7-9p/kWh beats electricity (25-30p) and is competitive with gas, especially when you're heating just the room you're in rather than the whole house.
HETAS is the official UK competent persons scheme for solid fuel installations. A HETAS install is automatically signed off for building regulations (no separate council inspection needed), keeps your home insurance valid, and is required if you ever sell the house. A non-HETAS install can invalidate insurance and cause problems at sale. We're HETAS-registered for every install.
Surveys booked in July are typically installed in August. August surveys run into September. After that you're in the queue with everyone who waited for the first cold evening. Book the survey now even if your install can wait — the quote holds for 30 days.
